This custom freestanding chalkboard sign is the perfect item to add to your special day to welcome your guests. Measuring 40x20", it has plenty of space for you to add your custom design. It is double-sided so you can make sure people see your message from all angles OR you can have two different messages to use during two different times of your event - such as at the ceremony and then the reception. It can be used for a variety of things such as a menu, welcome message, seating chart, and so much more.
This board - also known as a sidewalk chalkboard, sandwich board, a-frame easel - has rust-proof hinges and metal chains connecting the two sides.
Please indicate in the personalization if you’d like your design done in permanent paint pen or erasable chalk marker. Orders will not be fulfilled until this is specified.
Dimensions: 40" x 20" (fully open it expands up to 28", folded flat - 1.5"); The actual chalkboard surface is 28.5x15”
Please note that chalkboards are made by a third party and cannot be custom-sized. Due to the fact that each frame is produced from solid wood, there may be slight differences in the picture with the frame, such as the color tone and the knot places of the tree.

Yes, I will email you a digital proof of your design before putting it on the chalkboard.
What is the default font/color?
All chalkboards are hand-lettered in script font by me with white liquid chalk marker. Permanent paint pen is available upon request.

Will my order get smudged in the mail?
The chalk marker ink is made of a water-based solution that contains chalk particles. When the ink dries, the chalk particles form a hard, dry film on the surface. This film helps prevent the ink from smudging. If you don’t plan to use the board again, I can do the design in permanent paint pens upon request.
Do you make the chalkboards? Can I get a custom sized chalkboard?
No, I do make the actual chalkboards. The designs and hand-drawn elements of the chalkboards are what is custom.
